Summary
Dr. Jack Chen is a Professor with tenure at the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University, a top-ranking comprehensive university in Canada. He is also a Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) Scholar and a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) New Investigator. Before joining SFU as a tenure-track faculty, Dr. Chen was a Senior Genome Analyst at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York with Lincoln Stein. Dr. Chen obtained his undergraduate training at Fudan University and his Ph.D. at the Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has published over 60 scientific papers in competitive science journals.
